Have a great day!

Watching anime for my whole teenage years, I have figured out a typical pattern from all the shōnen-based anime I watched. I concluded that the best part always happens after a time skip. A time skip is a fandom slang similar to the distant finale of a story. The only difference is that the time skip occurs midway while the latter serves as the concluding chapter, nearing the end of the story.

The best thing about time skip is the return of the main characters.

In all anime, the fleeing of the main character signifies the beginning of personal development. And once they return, they come back as better persons. For instance, in one of the famous anime series of all time, Naruto Shipudden, the main character Naruto Uzumaki left his village with his teacher to train and become stronger. He came back better than everyone else.

The moral of this story is that working hard is not enough to achieve your goal. Sometimes, you need to leave to grow.

Most people say that anime is just for kids. But the lesson from this story and other stories that features the time skip concept holds a significant meaning in dealing with the importance of soul searching.

First, let us define it. Soul searching is simply taking a step back, looking into yourself from your perspective, and understanding your soul in your own eyes, deep thoughts, in other words. It answers the questions, what is the matter and what matters? Soul searching is an action you commit to yourself and no one else.

Is it similar to finding yourself? Yes, most people lost in life due to different burdens and problems have been through deep thoughts. But some people also casually go into deep thoughts to reset their lives. Soul searching is charging yourself again and finding inner peace.

But why do most people fail? The only answer is that most people fear stepping forward more than they step back. It is not a bad thing. Everyone feels anxious going out of their comfort zone. But I remember my mother saying, if not now, when?

Now, if you find yourself bombarded with everything happening in this world or just lost at one moment, ask yourself, do I want to live a life full of regrets? No! We do not want that.

Therefore, if you find yourself locked in the cage of what-ifs, close your eyes and see the infinite possibilities. Ironic, right? We close our eyes to see. Yes, because that is what a dream is. You see, soul searching yields to deep thoughts, deep thoughts are significant in decision making, and decisions are your stepping stone to achieving your dreams.

And dreams are the driving force of all main characters! Therefore, live your life as the protagonist of your own story! You may and will fail, but promise to come back stronger.
